May 31, 2005: David Brandt

The Ten Mile Association has received word from David Brandt's nephew, Jon Brandt, and from David's wife, Evie, that David, a 76 year summer resident of Ten Mile's south shore, died in Florida early Saturday morning, May 28, nine months after he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Evie, and two of their three children, Steve and Carol were by his side.  Evie will be returning to Ten Mile in early June, and there will be a memorial service in Hackensack in June or July.

Update on June 9:

The memorial service for David will be at 11:30 AM on Thursday, June 16,2005 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hackensack, Mn. 56452 behind the Riverhouse Restaurant when first coming into Hackensack.

April 17, 2005: ICE OUT

Al Hoover reported that there was a little ice left in the center on April 16, but what was left melted; the last of it was seen at 2:00pm on April 17th.
